He Provides - 15th March 2010

Hubby wakes up at 4.30 A.M. in the morning, has to catch his flight for the training session. He had prebooked the cab as its difficult to get cabs in the wee morning hours. When he went downstairs to his dismay he noticed that the cab guy has not arrived and the guard informed him that there are no other cabs available. Hubby dear was sure upset, he knew if he didnt get a cab in the next five minutes he would not reach the airport on time. Slowly with his luggage in hand he started walking on the road all darkness around him. And then he started to pray, he said "Lord you know that I need to get a cab soon else I will miss my flight but I also know that this situation is happening as per your will and let thy will be done. I thank you and praise you that my cab guy didnt show up". Saying this in his mind he kept walking a few paces and suddenly out of nowhere a cab comes behind him and starts honking and Lo Behold ! there it was standing right behind him. The cab guy cheerfully asked him where he would like to go and hubby managed to reach just in time for the flight ! Praise God for he Surely Provides !!!!

Troubled Waters - Nov 09

From Nov 09 till Jan 10 was one of the most difficult periods of our life. Things we never imagined would happen, did happen and took us by complete surprise and shock. We could not beleive the things that were happening to us. More so coz' according to us we were good human beings, not causing trouble to anyone, doing our daily prayers. But boy did we we know that we were wrong and that we needed to do more and the lord had a wonderful plan for us.
As he says in Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
These were the moments that we started praying like never before. That is when V my dear friend introduced us to the books "Power in Praise" & "Prison to Praise" by Merlin Carothers. And did we realise something, we needed to praise god even for our troubles. We started doing it initially with hesitation later on with fervour and then it slowly became a part of life ( We are still learning of course) . Soon I realised that all the things that I had been fretting and fuming about were exactly the things that the lord wanted me to go through. This was HIS WILL for me and that realisation changed my life. I started looking positively at all the things which before this used to annoy and irritate me. The traffic, the dirt, the dust everything.... our troubles did not disappear but our outlook to them changed. We slowly started feeling the lords joy in our hearts & his peace in our lives !!! I hope that we continue praying every single day without fail and call out to the lord in everything that we do.

Feb 28th 2010 - Miracle at Mahabaleshwar

Beautiful Sunday @ Mahabaleshwar. I was all excited as I had a whole day to spend there and more excited coz I would be visiting a new church. Hubby had found out the there is only one mass @ 8.30 in the morning so we got ready well in advance and reached the hotel carpark. The sight that greeted us was quite dismaying, we see four cars parked behind our car and there was no way we could pull out our car without moving the other three. And knowing that the car owners were sleeping. I slowly started getting anxious and annoyed that we will miss mass. I started fretting and then suddenly thought "lord this situation has been created by you for your glory, I surrender this to you and you manage it the way you want. I will not be upset but thank and praise you for everything".

As i prayed hubby was running around asking people if the cars could be moved. Then he comes running back to me with a big smile on his face saying "come lets go" I looked at him and wondered what is he talking about but walked along with him outside the gate. I saw a huge bus for about 20 people parked outside the gate and the driver of the bus smiling at us and opening the door. I was astounded at the speed with which the lord responded to my request. We reached church well ahead of time and I also got to do the reading at Mass. Could not have asked for a better solution to my problem. Praise You Lord !!!
